Wet Track To Suit Frozen Rope In 2013 Parramarra Cup

March 1st, 2013

Trainer Adam Duggan is incredibly optimistic about Frozen Rope’s chances in the 2013 Parramatta Cup at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse tomorrow due to the wet weather.

Duggan was initially sceptical about Frozen Rope’s chances, but feels a heavy track would put his galloper in contention to take out the race.

“The wetter the better I reckon – as long as the races are on,” Duggan said.

Frozen Rope has won eight of his 17 race starts and has earned more than $190,000 in prize money during his career.

And now Duggan feels that the five-year-old is well on his way to extending his winning record to an impressive 18.

“As a trainer you are always harder on them doing the form when they are one of your own,” Duggan said.

“I’ve been looking for a reason why he might be able to get beaten but I can’t really find one.

“From the outside looking in, if I was a punter I would probably have him as near a good thing because you can put him anywhere in a race now and he handles these tracks.”

His most recent result was a win in the $85,000 Might And Power Handicap at Rosehill Racecourse on February 16, 2013.
